We will contact you once you have paid the deposit to book in the date/s for your shows.
You are booking a single act, who will perform a 40-60min Magic [Menatlism/Mind Reading Type] set.
Extras
We add these on top of the cost for the act. We charge them for each show, even FREE ones.
Equipment £50
Many venues have their own lighting and sound. If not, we can bring everything with us. We have multiple lights for the performers, disco lights with lasers for the pre-show and intervals, state-of-the-art headsets and handheld wireless mics, amp, speakers, all the wires and extensions, plus safety tape and cable protectors. We add this cost for each show you book.
Congestion Charge £15
If your venue is inside the Congestion Charge, and you need us to bring the sound and lighting, we would add the cost of this onto each show you book.
Parking
If we are bringing the equipment, we will need a parking space. Do you have one nearby? If it isn’t free, then you, the venue, would need to pay for this for the day of the event.
Petrol
If your venue is within 20 miles of E14 5AA (Canary Wharf, London) there is no charge. Anything further out is charged at £1 per each mile you are further out. Below is a map of the 20-mile radius.
Terms and Conditions
Please ensure you agree with our terms and conditions and are aware of the following policies when booking one of our shows.
Parties to the contract
In these T&Cs, we often refer to the person or company that booked the show as being ‘The Venue’ – whether that is a pub, hotel, school, church, social club, or a specific person. We, the company putting on the show, are often referred to as being ‘The Company’
Arrival at the Venue
On arrival at the venue, the company should be met by either the contact or an informed person, who can show the team the performance space, toilets, parking arrangements and confirm the time of the performance.
If you have booked us to bring the equipment:
1. We will come by car and need to park nearby
2. If your venue is on a road that is closed to vehicular traffic at set times during the day, you must advise the company prior to the day of performance. If you fail to notify us of such closures and a fine is incurred as a result, the cost will be invoiced back to the venue.
3. Parking. The company requires access and parking – when bringing the equipment for the event. We ask that arrangements be made so that the van can be parked as close to the access to the performance space as possible for ease of set up and break down. If parking is not possible on venue grounds, then coins/parking pass must be provided for nearby parking bays. If it is not possible to park within reasonable access and an alternative solution is not provided, the company will not be able to go ahead with the performance and the venue will be liable for the total cost of the show/s booked.
Timings
The timings and date of the show/s are agreed after the deposit has been paid. The company asks that the venue show awareness of these times and stick to the scheduled times. In the unlikely event that the company is late to arrive due to circumstances outside our control, e.g. breakdown, traffic or bad weather, we will keep the venue informed and will aim to start the show as near as possible to the scheduled time.
Health and Safety
As you would expect, we take health and safety extremely seriously and strive to go above and beyond what is necessary. All of our staff are in possession of a Disclosure certificate. Cast members who perform family or children’s show (so have direct contact with children) all have their Enhanced DBS. These certificates will be available for inspection when visiting your venue.
However, they will not be left alone with children on a one to one basis, and are not ‘solely responsible for them’ nor does our work fall under the category of a ‘regulated activity’: Therefore a Disclosure Certificate is not required by law.
The safety and well-being of our audience and our performers is always our prime concern. The company carries Public Liability Insurance with a £5,000,000 limit of indemnity.
Booking Agreement
Once a booking has been made (deposit paid) you are entering into a binding agreement with the company to purchase one (or more) of our productions. Cancellations made within 18 weeks of a booking will be payable at full cost.
Payment
Payment must be made in advance of the production. If you haven’t paid before the show is due to start – you will still owe the full fee whether or not the show goes ahead. If the show does go ahead, and you haven’t paid, then when paying after the event, you’ll be subject to a 15% surcharge of the original total booking cost.
Cancellation
A cancellation may be defined as (although is not limited to) the following: ‘changing your mind’, staff shortage, ‘a double booking’, adverse weather conditions, venue closure, or having failed to adhere to the terms and conditions.
If given sufficient notice, we may amend your booking time/date. However, this is carried out at the discretion of the company and is not always possible.
If we arrive at the venue and the venue is closed/space is not available and we have not been informed, the booking will be liable for the full amount.
FORCE MAJEURE EVENTS & Covid-19
Should your performance be unable to take place due a “Force majeure” event such as extreme weather or unforeseen venue closure by a governing body, our contract shall not be voided, instead we will offer a reasonable alternative, you will receive a performance at a later date which will be agreed and offered subject to availability. There would be no additional fee under these circumstances.
Provided we have made a reasonable attempt to offer an alternative and if all options are declined then no further compensation will be due to you and the appropriate cancellation fee will apply.
